Iori Kimura, a pianist/melody maker, and bassist Kohei Morita, who charms with his emotional and diverse musicality releases their latest collab project.
About a year and a half after their debut album "Blessings -in Yatsugatake Kogen Ongakudo-", their latest album incorporates jazz-based elements of post-classical music to create a rich duo sound. Zino Mikorey is in charge of mastering following the previous work.
This 11-track album includes; (1) IRO NAKI KAZE ~ (2) My Folk Lore, a masterpiece of piano and contrabass that jumps into the ear, its fantastic melody gently shakes the heartstrings of memory, filled with a simple warmth and nostalgia. (3) Lavender Night Sky, which has the image of White Christmas, was released with a music video shot at Yatsugatake Kogen. (9) ZEN, which is breathtaking with a feeling of impatience like a piercing snowstorm, and (10) Nocturne, which reminds of the sunlight filtering through the trees after the spring storm has passed.
Spatial and detailed sound echoes, lively, dynamic and beautifully sparkling phrases continue to be spun gently, sometimes passionately, like a polite dialogue of sounds. The lushly colored theatrical soundscape will bring tears to your eyes, and the lingering sound will soothe your heart.

稀代のメロディーメーカーであるピアニスト木村イオリと、情感深く多彩な音楽性で魅せるベーシスト森田晃平。長野県・八ヶ岳高原音楽堂で録音されたデビュー作『Blessings -in Yatsugatake Kogen Ongakudo-』から約1年半ぶりとなる最新作には、ジャズをベースにポストクラシカルの要素を盛り込み、豊かなデュオの響きを追求した11曲が収録されている。マスタリングは前作に続きZino Mikoreyが担当している。
本作の冒頭、(1)IRO NAKI KAZE〜(2)My Folk Loreから耳に飛び込むピアノとコントラバスの名演、その空想的な旋律は優しく記憶の琴線を揺らすように、純朴なあたたかさとノスタルジーに満ち溢れている。ホワイトクリスマスをイメージした(3)Lavender Night Skyは八ヶ岳高原で撮影されたMVが公開される。突き刺す花吹雪のような焦燥感に息をのむ(9)ZEN、春の嵐が去ったあとの木漏れ日を思わせる(10)Nocturne。
空間的できめ細やかな音の響き、生き生きと躍動し美しく煌くフレーズのかけ合いは、穏やかに、時に情熱的に、丁寧な音の対話のごとく紡がれ続ける。青々と色づくシアトリカルな音景に涙がこぼれ、音の余韻と胸の高鳴りに心を和ませる1枚。
